Background

MoviGo Robotics is a Netherlands-based company that develops autonomous mobile robots for the printing industry. Their core product, the Sharko5, is an AMR deployed as an HP Industrial Print partner directly in HP Indigo print lines — it takes over the automated loading and unloading of printing machines, replacing manual handling during live production.

Solution

First contact with MoviGo Robotics was made in February 2023. MoviGo handed the technical specification of the existing energy storage to Christian Schidl, the responsible technical expert at Hellpower. Based on this specification, the battery pack was designed — cell chemistry, capacity, discharge power and BMS parameters were matched to the Sharko5 load profile.

The order was placed in March 2023; delivery followed in April 2023. Hellpower supported MoviGo during the implementation of the battery pack into the robot and was available for technical questions throughout the process.

Ongoing support extends the partnership beyond the initial delivery — MoviGo has a direct technical contact for any questions about battery behaviour that arise during production operation.

Outcome

The Sharko5 is in production operation with the battery pack manufactured by Hellpower. MoviGo Robotics rated both the quality of the battery pack and the delivery time positively. The robot loads and unloads HP Indigo printing machines reliably in automatic mode.
