Which CAN bus protocols does the BMS support?

The BMS is supplied as standard with CANopen or CANdb. RS232 and SMBus are also available. The exact protocol configuration is agreed during the requirements analysis so that the battery speaks the language of your machine controller right away.

Is IP67 achievable for all enclosure shapes?

Yes — IP67 sealing (dustproof, temporarily waterproof to 1 m) is achievable for custom aluminium enclosures with appropriately specified connectors. Other protection ratings (e.g. IP54 or IP68) are engineered on request.

What CE documentation is included?

On request, Hellpower supplies technical documentation, a declaration of conformity under the LVD/EMC Directive, and the safety data sheet. This allows the battery packs to be incorporated directly into the CE documentation for your special machine.

Can Hellpower retrofit an existing machine design?

Yes — the starting point is your 3D model, an installation-space drawing or a physical sample. Hellpower derives a precision-fit battery enclosure from it, including mounting and service access, without modifying the existing machine design.

Case example: special machine for outdoor use

Requirement: A machinery OEM is developing a mobile inspection unit for outdoor operation: tight installation space, operation from −10 °C to +50 °C, CAN bus control mandatory, IP67 required. Off-the-shelf batteries fit neither geometrically nor in terms of interfaces.

Solution: Hellpower manufactures a LiFePO4 battery pack precisely to the installation-space drawing, with a CANopen BMS, IP67 aluminium enclosure and mechanically secured cell connectors.
