The challenge

Short runtimes

Lead-acid batteries only last 2–3 days – far too little for multi-shift warehouse operation.

Weight & size

Conventional batteries are too heavy and too bulky for mobile workstations and AGVs.

Harsh environment

Everyday warehouse operation with impacts, vibration and constant use destroys off-the-shelf solutions.

Our solutions

From the mobile battery box to heavy-duty drive systems – engineered for real-world logistics requirements.

Compact battery box

Housed in a rugged Peli Case – powers scanners, printers and industrial PCs for up to a full week without recharging.

Batteries for AMRs & AGVs

Field-proven lithium batteries for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and automated guided vehicles – compact, reliable, industrial-grade, e.g. 24V/60Ah.

Custom enclosures

Perfect-fit battery systems even in the tightest spaces – including a battery-swap solution.

Matched chargers

A complete system of battery and charger, perfectly matched to one another for maximum service life.

Customer story

proLogistik

Hellpower Energy mobile power case for intralogistics and mobile power supply

The partnership between Hellpower Energy and proLogistik began in 2016 with the goal of developing a mobile power supply for logistics workflows that can withstand the tough demands of 24/7 warehouse operation.

The result is a compact lithium battery box in a rugged Peli Case – with a runtime of up to seven days without recharging, three times the capacity of standard lead-acid batteries.

Hellpower Energy delivers several hundred of these battery systems to proLogistik every year – for use at several major German food logistics providers.

Requirement · Solution · Result

Requirement: Mobile power supply for order-picking workstations (scanner, printer, industrial PC) in 24/7 shift operation – without daily recharging, rugged enough for demanding warehouse conditions.

Solution: Compact lithium battery box in an impact-resistant Peli Case – high-performance cell chemistry, integrated BMS, tool-free swap. Complete system including matched charger.

Result: Runtime up to 7 days without recharging – in series production since 2016, several hundred units per year for leading German food logistics providers.

Rugged, well thought out, long-lasting – exactly what we were looking for in our mobile workstations. A full week of runtime without recharging, easy integration, no special hardware required. Hellpower thinks along with us and responds quickly.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a lithium battery for mobile workstations last in warehouse operation?
The battery boxes delivered by Hellpower in rugged Peli Cases achieve runtimes of up to 7 days in real multi-shift operation – depending on connected loads (scanner, printer, industrial PC). This is a significant improvement over conventional lead-acid batteries, which typically last 2–3 days.
Can lithium batteries replace lead-acid batteries in existing forklifts and industrial trucks?
In most cases yes. Lithium batteries are significantly lighter, charge faster (opportunity charging) and eliminate the need for cumbersome battery swaps. Hellpower checks installation dimensions, voltage levels and charger compatibility – and provides a matched complete system if required.
What voltage levels and capacities are typical for AMR batteries?
Common voltage levels for AMRs and AGVs are 24 V, 48 V and 72 V – capacities range from 20 Ah to 200 Ah depending on vehicle class and shift length. Hellpower sizes packs based on actual load profiles and installation dimensions. Example from customer deployment: 24 V/60 Ah for AMRs in order-picking operation.
How is the battery replaced during ongoing warehouse operation if it fails?
Hellpower designs battery systems with fast replacement in mind – swap systems without special tools, standardised connectors and clear status indicators via the BMS. The Peli Case battery box requires no tools; for fixed-mounted packs the swap concept is defined during engineering.
Is the battery box suitable for cold-store or deep-freeze operation?
LiFePO4 cells operate in a range of approximately –10 °C to +55 °C (in use). For deep-freeze areas below –10 °C, a heating foil inside the battery pack is required so that the BMS protects the cells and releases charging only at sufficient temperature. Hellpower advises on the appropriate configuration.
