OEM Series Partnership
OEM Battery Pack Supply for Machine Builders and AGV Manufacturers
Hellpower Energy supplies lithium battery packs as an integrated OEM component — mechanically, electrically and communicatively matched to your machine. From the first sample through qualification to a reliable recurring series supply, all from one source in Austria.
Start OEM partnership inquiryWhat OEMs Require from a Battery Pack Supplier
Seamless integration
The battery pack must fit mechanically into the machine frame, connect electrically to the power bus, and communicate via CAN or SMBus with the vehicle controller — no adapter workarounds.
Reliable series supply
OEM production lines cannot tolerate supplier changes mid-cycle. You need a partner who delivers reproducibly from first sample through series ramp-up to long-term recurring supply.
Compliance without overhead
CE marking, UN 38.3 transport certification and IEC 62619 conformance must be covered by the battery supplier — so your own certification effort stays bounded.
Hellpower's OEM Model: First Sample to Recurring Series
A structured OEM process with a single point of contact — from technical briefing through qualification to series delivery.
1 — Technical briefing
We capture your mechanical envelope, voltage and capacity requirements, communication protocol (CAN, SMBus or proprietary), connector specification, and environmental conditions (IP class, temperature range, vibration).
2 — Cell chemistry selection
LiFePO4 for AGV and machine applications demanding long cycle life, thermal stability and high continuous current. Li-NMC where energy density or weight is the critical constraint. Selection by calculation, not catalogue.
3 — First sample & qualification
We produce a first sample to your exact specification. You run it through your qualification process. We support with documentation, measurement data and BMS parameter sets.
4 — Series release & recurring supply
After your series release, Hellpower supplies reproducibly to schedule — same cell lot qualification, same BMS firmware, same mechanical tolerances. Every delivery includes UN 38.3 certificate and CE declaration.
Mechanical integration
Battery pack housing dimensions, mounting interfaces and connector positions are defined to fit directly into your machine or AGV frame — no rework on your assembly line.
Electrical integration
Voltage, capacity, continuous current and peak current are specified to your power bus — BMS protection thresholds matched to your inverter or motor controller.
CAN / SMBus communication
BMS communicates state of charge, state of health, cell temperatures and fault codes via CAN or SMBus — message definition coordinated with your vehicle controller team.
Thermal management
Passive or active thermal management designed for your operating environment — temperature range, duty cycle and enclosure IP class all factored into the pack design.
LiFePO4 for AGV
High cycle count, inherent thermal stability and tolerance of partial state of charge — the preferred chemistry for AGV and intralogistics duty cycles.
Long-term partnership
Hellpower maintains build records, cell lot documentation and BMS firmware versions across the product lifetime — supporting your ECO change and obsolescence management.

OEM partnership example
Battery pack integration for an AGV series
An AGV manufacturer developing a new vehicle series requires a battery pack that integrates mechanically into the drive frame, connects to the 48 V power bus, and reports state of charge and fault codes to the fleet management system via CAN. No standard battery pack meets the mechanical envelope and the CAN message definition simultaneously.
Hellpower defines cell chemistry (LiFePO4 for cycle life and continuous current capability), pack geometry, BMS protection parameters and CAN message set together with the OEM engineering team. A first sample is built to the agreed specification and handed over for the OEM's own qualification test run.
After qualification and series release, Hellpower supplies the battery pack reproducibly per delivery schedule — with UN 38.3 certificate, CE declaration and full build documentation on every shipment. The OEM has a single contact for technical queries, ECO changes and long-term supply planning.

Frequently asked questions
- What distinguishes OEM battery pack supply from custom battery development?
- Custom battery development is a one-time engineering project resulting in a specification and a prototype. OEM battery pack supply builds on that — or on your existing specification — and adds a structured qualification process, series release and recurring delivery. The focus is on supply reliability, reproducibility and compliance documentation for every shipment.
- Which communication protocols does Hellpower support for BMS integration?
- CAN (CANopen and proprietary message sets) and SMBus are the standard protocols. The BMS message definition — state of charge, state of health, cell voltages, temperatures, fault codes — is coordinated with the OEM's vehicle controller or fleet management team during the technical briefing phase.
- What compliance documentation is included in series delivery?
- Every series shipment includes a UN 38.3 transport certification, CE declaration of conformity and IEC 62619 conformance documentation. Build records, cell lot traceability and BMS firmware version are maintained by Hellpower for the product lifetime.
- Does Hellpower supply LTO (lithium titanate) battery packs as well?
- Yes, LTO (lithium titanate oxide) is available for applications requiring extreme cycle counts, fast charge capability or very wide operating temperature ranges. LTO is selected where LiFePO4 cycle life or temperature performance is insufficient. The selection is made by technical calculation, not catalogue.
- What is the minimum order quantity for OEM series supply?
- There is no fixed catalogue minimum. Order quantities and delivery schedules are agreed during the OEM partnership setup. Hellpower serves both small-series OEMs and volume production ramp-ups — the decisive factor is a stable, agreed release specification, not a unit threshold.
